Medical researchers have published promising findings from a Phase I clinical trial of a new cellular immunotherapy. The treatment trains patient cells to target and eliminate aggressive, drug-resistant bacterial strains.
Out of 45 patients involved in the study, over 90% showed complete clearance of the infection with minimal side effects, paving the way for larger Phase II trials later this year.
